Diane P. Velez, Principal

Diane has spent the past fifteen years in public procurement and a decade in the healthcare and life sciences industry. Throughout her career, she advised on both commercial and government contracting processes, regulations and compliance requirements. She has expertise in drafting and reviewing legal documents, interpreting and ensuring adherence to statutes and regulations such as the Federal Acquisition Regulation and Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, assisting in contract litigation and internal investigations, and guiding business teams in achieving their contracting strategy. In addition, Diane has advised on various matters, including due diligence of acquisition targets, country of origin determinations and labeling requirements, training on legal topics such as ad prom and off-label regulations, the Federal Anti-Kickback Statute and Sunshine Act, and instructing corporations on understanding the risks of violating the False Claims Act. Diane completed her law degree at Seton Hall University in 2024 while simultaneously working full time and managing the busy schedules of her family. She currently lives in Waldwick, New Jersey with her husband and two sons.
